The research method was descriptive – correlation plan. The population includes all applicants of cosmetic surgery who refer to cosmetic surgery clinics in Tehran, district 3, in 2015. The sample consisted of 150 individuals which were selected by randomly multistage sampling method .The measurement tools were the following questionnaires : Life satisfaction scale (SWLS), body image concern inventory (BICI), NEO five-factor short form, and individual details questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the sequential multivariable regression method; and finally the research hypotheses were tested. The results showed that, there is a positive correlation between demographic variables, marital status and financial status predicted life satisfaction among participant who decide to undergo cosmetic surgery positively and respectively. The review of the regression coefficient demonstrated that the body dysmorphic disorder predicts life satisfaction among participant negatively. Among personality characteristics, neuroticism predicts life satisfaction among participant negatively while extraversion anticipates it positively .
</abstract_fa>
