Designing Wisdom Training Package based on Ardelt’s Perspective and Investigating Its Effect on Creative Thinking of Students

Developing creative thinking is one of the main goals of the educational system and strengthening students with wisdom skills can be a good way to cultivate creative thinking. The present study aimed to design a Wisdom Training Protocol based on Ardelt’s perspective and investigate the effect of it on the creative thinking of students. This semi-experimental study used a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population consisted of all sixth-grade female students in District 4 of Tehran, Iran, in the first half of 2024, of whom 30 were selected as the sample through convenience sampling. They were then randomly assigned into the experimental and control groups (15 students in each group). The intervention group received fifteen 60-minute Wisdom Training Protocol sessions twice weekly, while the control group didn’t. The Runco Ideational Behavior Scale for students was administered to both groups. The SPSS software, version 26, was used to analyze the data. Covariance results showed that Wisdom Training Protocol positively increases the creative thinking of sixth-grade female students (P<0.001). Considering the positive effect of Wisdom Training Protocol, it can be practically beneficial to psychologists and teachers.
